Agenz raises 13 million Dirhams in pre-Series A to streamline real estate transactions in Morocco

The Moroccan startup Agenz secures a record-breaking funding round in 2023 to radically simplify real estate transactions.

Casablanca, Morocco – July 5, 2023 – Agenz, the first online real estate valuation platform in Morocco, announced it has raised 13 million dirhams in a pre-Series A funding round. This investment was led by Azur Innovation Fund, Maroc Numeric Fund II, and Beenok, an international investment fund.

This fundraising, one of the largest ever achieved by a Moroccan startup, demonstrates investor confidence in the company’s vision and its ability to transform the real estate market.

Founded in 2021 by brothers Malik and Badr BELKEZIZ, Agenz has distinguished itself by offering free online estimation solutions based on artificial intelligence on its platform agenz.ma, utilizing market data continuously collected and analyzed by a team of engineers and real estate experts.

The platform now attracts more than 150,000 monthly users and 5,000 new estimated properties each month, making Agenz a reference for sellers and buyers initiating their real estate projects in Morocco.

“These first two years have allowed us to build the most comprehensive private real estate database in the market. We have also brought transparency to our users through online estimates of unmatched accuracy, with a margin of error of 5%, across all cities in the Kingdom,” says Malik BELKEZIZ, CEO and co-founder of Agenz.

“This fundraising aims to increase Agenz’s impact on the real estate transaction process: Beyond estimation, we will use our databases and technology to offer our users the smoothest and simplest buying-selling service possible, particularly for the middle classes who have an urgent need for transparency and liquidity: Our goal is to enable those who wish to own or sell their property by 2024 within a maximum period of 10 days, including real estate financing.”

To achieve this goal, the startup can count on a network of nearly 1,000 real estate agencies and developers on the platform throughout the kingdom, as well as partnerships developed with major Moroccan banks in recent months.
